Jill accidentally discovered she loved ceramics when she had to take an elective class during her political science major. She then earned a BFA from UW-River Falls in Wisconsin, and her MFA in 2005 from Utah State University in ceramics. She has taught ceramics at all levels from preschool to graduate school. Jill opened her studio "Boise Mudworks" in 2009, sells her work in downtown Boise at Idaho Made and participates in the annual Boise Open Studios (BOSCO) tour each fall.
