This HANDBUILDING course (not on the potter's wheel) with Jess meets at our Garden City location and is for all levels of students (age 18+). This all levels handbuilding class is suitable for beginners, individuals coming back to ceramics after a long absence, or those with experience who want to refine their skills. Jess will conduct demonstrations and introduce techniques each week to increase your handbuilding skills in construction and surface development.
This all levels course is for students ages 18 and up. Class will meet once a week for SIX weeks on MONDAY nights. Class dates are Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16, Nov 30, Dec 7 and Dec 14, from 6:30pm -9:30pm. There will be no class held during Thanksgiving week, on November 23. Each week, you’ll also receive 4 hours of studio time to practice and explore at your own pace outside of class during open studio hours.
CLAY SELECTION: With this course 25lbs of B-Mix with grog clay is included in your purchase price. We are now offering students the option to pick from a few different clays for an additional fee. When checking out:
1) add the class to the cart and
2)then add your clay option as a variant with a $5.00 add-on cost (if you want clay that's different than B-Mix with grog).
3)for inventory, you'll need to purchase the add-on clay option at minimum one week before class begins.
For our beginners in this class we recommend B-Mix with Grog clay!
Students must bring their own tools or purchase a tool rental kit. Wheels at the Potter's Center need a bat for throwing, and 2 bats are included in the toolkit. At the end of the class, you can choose to: Keep the tools and receive a 25% discount, or Return them for a refund.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
All classes, private lessons, and special events are fully refundable up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time. To cancel and receive a refund, please contact us at least 72 hours in advance.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made outside these terms.
