Perfect for adults new to pottery or looking to advance their skills! This class will meet in Garden City at 110 Ellen Street. Please read below if you'd like a variety of clay options for the class!
This all levels class covers the essential techniques of wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques as well as glazing, and is suitable for a beginner or intermediate student. The instructor will conduct demonstrations each week, and can assist on projects unrelated to the demonstrations that are in-progress. Each week, you’ll also receive 4 hours of open studio time to practice and explore at your own pace.
Must be 18 and up. Class meets once a week on Wednesday mornings for SIX weeks from September 23-October 28 at 9:30am-12:30pm.
CLAY SELECTION: With this course 25lbs of cone 5 B-Mix clay is included. We are now offering students the option to pick from a few different clays for an additional fee. When checking out you can add the class to the cart and then add your clay option as a variant with a $5.00 add-on cost (if you want clay that's different than B-Mix). For our beginners we recommend B-Mix clay!
Students must bring their own tools or purchase a tool rental kit. Wheels at the Potter's Center need a bat for throwing, and 2 bats are included in the toolkit. At the end of the class, you can choose to: Keep the tools and receive a 25% discount, or Return them for a refund,

All classes, private lessons, and special events are fully refundable up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time. To cancel and receive a refund, please contact us at least 72 hours in advance.
