This wheel-throwing class in Studio B covers the essential techniques of wheel throwing and glazing. Each week, you’ll also receive 4 hours of open studio time to practice and explore at your own pace. This class and its associated open studio hours will be held in Studio B at the Potter's Center. This course is for intermediate and beginning students ages 18 and up. The class meets once a week for 5 weeks on MONDAY nights June 29-July 27 from 5-8pm.
Class plan:
week 1: bowls
week 2: trimming and carving overview, both functional and decorative
week 3: cylinder and handle demonstration
week 4: glazing info, work on pieces in progress
week 5: glazing, decorating surfaces, clean out cubby
CLAY: With your course enrollment you'll receive 25# of B Mix clay on your first day of class. This clay is non-refundable and non-exchangeable. With your class enrollment You'll be assigned a cubby to use for the 5 weeks to store tools, clay, works in progress, apron, etc. Cubbies will need to be cleaned out on the last night of class.
At the Potter's Center all wheels have bat pins installed and we use bats for throwing classes . Students must bring their own tools or purchase a tool rental kit, which includes 2 bats. At the end of the class, you can choose to: keep the tools (at a 25% discount), or return the washed and re-assembled toolkit to process a refund.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
All classes, private lessons, and special events are fully refundable up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time. To cancel and receive a refund, please contact us at least 72 hours in advance.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made outside these terms.
