When drawn through a slab of clay these tools form perfectly shaped strips that can be readily cut to length and attached to ceramic vessels as handles. The special inside taper on the cutters compresses the clay as it is cut, imparting a smooth finish to the clay handle. These tools are made with stainless steel ends that are firmly set in smooth hardwood handles.
